Job Description

We are recruiting an experienced Maintenance/Millwright Supervisor to join our team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan, organize, schedule and measure maintenance related day-to-day activities in all departments to ensure minimal machine downtime and employee safety
  • Resolving maintenance related problems (breakdowns, PM, machine output efficiencies, etc.)
  • Entering Dayforce data accurately daily and reviewing statistics weekly
  • Participating in all management, production, safety and quality meetings
  • Initiating, planning, implementing and sustaining corrective/preventive actions and continuous improvement ideas and communicating status to relative stakeholders
  • Implementing company policies and goals
  • Contributing to team effort by performing related duties as instructed in a respectful manner
  • Delegating work assignments to maintenance staff and third-party contractors.
  • Morning meeting kick off translating all maintenance issues in a language all levels of staff can understand while offering technical suggestions of remedies to all issues

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Journeyperson trades certificate in either 433A or 442A respectively preference given to RSE (Red Seal Endorsement)
  • College/University or equivalent
  • 3 years’ experience, knowledge, and understanding of fabrication & manufacturing processes
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent leadership skills (Strive for growth within themselves and encourage team members of same, hardworking, motivated, patient, takes initiative, accountable, dependable, etc.)
  • Able to think ahead and plan action accordingly
  • Independent, High Energy, Organized
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Mechanically inclined, strong technical aptitude and creative/Innovative
  • Experience with ISO 14001 Quality System
