We are recruiting a Buyer - Intermediate to join our team to support our client in the automotive industry.
NOTES:
- Hybrid – 3 days onsite
- May required limited national travel required to attend trade shows
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors
- Evaluates vendor quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or other related major from an accredited University
- 1-5 years of Automotive Buyer experience
- Must possess the ability to multi-task, prioritize, adapt, negotiate and manage a project(s)
- Must be capable of managing tactical workload while developing & implementing strategies and process improvements.
- Proficient in Microsoft (Excel, Power Point, Word) and web-based applications. Experience in SAP is not required, however would be an advantage
- Strong Communication with all levels of management and peers, both internally and externally
- Strong desire to grow and learn in a challenging environment.
Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative environment that requires the ability to work with others of varying thoughts and perspectives - Ability to work in a fast paced global environment, interacting with global supplier and team members
