Job Description

We are currently recruiting an experienced Seat Engineer to join our team supporting our client in the automotive industry.

NOTE:

  • Hybrid
  • Must be willing and able to travel to the USA, without restrictions, effective on the start date

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Designing and developing automotive seating systems and components
  • Define functional requirements, and develop system DVPR, DFMEA, and function models
  • Releasing component performance specifications, drawings and system validation. nteraction with other functional Engineering groups, suppliers, manufacturing plants and Purchasing.
  • Define parameters and standards of critical systems & integrate them into CAD design templates
  • Specific prior design and engineering expertise for seating
  • Conceptual design for seating - parametric studies while fulfilling design functional targets
  • Develop initial packaging design for Seating system that meets design objectives
  • Generate initial designs that meets design targets and perform specific performance analysis
  • Understanding to Manufacturing Best practices and guidelines
  • Competitive benchmarking studies
  • Create and maintain design and analysis templates / requirements as standards change
  • Associative parametric modeling
  • CAD modeling and NX design templates automation set up

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BSME or BSEE or equivalent Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited University
  • 5 years of experience
  • Experience with vehicle build and manufacturing is preferred; Relevant experience with Automotive Seat Engineering, Testing, Manufacturing and Assembly is preferred
  • Ability to understand and react to Multidisciplinary engineering fields
  • Strong Excel Skills
  • Ability to read lab procedures
  • Great communication skills
