We are currently recruiting an experienced Wiring Systems Engineer to join our team supporting our client in the automotive industry.
NOTE:
- Hybrid role
- Must be willing and able to travel to the USA, without restrictions, effective on the start date
- Valid G driver’s license
RESPONSIBILITES:
- Developing the wire harness complexity for the design of the Electrical System and related components
- Selection of wire attributes and wire option coding
- Design and validate the electrical systems and released components to ensure we meet all client electrical specifications in the vehicle and component environments
- Support PWB and manufacturing facilities for entire life cycle, manage supplier systems engineering support team, manage large amounts of data and be fluent working in corporate computer systems
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent (Materials /Chemical/ Civil/ Aerospace/Computer) from an ABET accredited university
- 3 years of transportation wiring design and release experience or vehicle electrical system experience
- 5 years of engineering experience
- Excellent communication skills that include writing, creation and presentation of management level high quality presentation materials and reports
- Proficient in MS Office suite of tools including PowerPoint, Excel and Word
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university. Candidates will still need a Bachelor of Science to be considered. Please see above.
- Experience using wire harness schematic generation tools (preferred Capital Tools Suite)
- Training in DFMEA, DVP&R and DFSS development tools and processes
- Working knowledge of CAD systems (NX, Catia)
- Fluency in Spanish and English
- Experience in high volume manufacturing facilities
- Familiarity with wiring harness drawings and specifications for automotive applications
