Job Description

We are currently recruiting an experienced Wiring Systems Engineer to join our team supporting our client in the automotive industry.

NOTE:

  • Hybrid role
  • Must be willing and able to travel to the USA, without restrictions, effective on the start date
  • Valid G driver’s license

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Developing the wire harness complexity for the design of the Electrical System and related components
  • Selection of wire attributes and wire option coding
  • Design and validate the electrical systems and released components to ensure we meet all client electrical specifications in the vehicle and component environments
  • Support PWB and manufacturing facilities for entire life cycle, manage supplier systems engineering support team, manage large amounts of data and be fluent working in corporate computer systems

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent (Materials /Chemical/ Civil/ Aerospace/Computer) from an ABET accredited university
  • 3 years of transportation wiring design and release experience or vehicle electrical system experience
  • 5 years of engineering experience
  • Excellent communication skills that include writing, creation and presentation of management level high quality presentation materials and reports
  • Proficient in MS Office suite of tools including PowerPoint, Excel and Word

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university. Candidates will still need a Bachelor of Science to be considered. Please see above.
  • Experience using wire harness schematic generation tools (preferred Capital Tools Suite)
  • Training in DFMEA, DVP&R and DFSS development tools and processes
  • Working knowledge of CAD systems (NX, Catia)
  • Fluency in Spanish and English
  • Experience in high volume manufacturing facilities
  • Familiarity with wiring harness drawings and specifications for automotive applications
