Job Description

Our Tier-1 client, a leading supplier in the design & manufacturing of exterior structural components, is recruiting for Customer Quality Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure that the products and/or services an organization provides are fit for purpose and meets both external and internal requirements, including legal compliance and customer expectations
  • Promoting quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization
  • Report to top management on the performance of the Quality Management System, Environmental Management System and any need for improvement
  • Ensure the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization and liaison with external parties on matters relating to the Quality Management System, and Environmental Management System
  • Management Rep for ISO 14001 and TS-16949
  • Achieve and maintain TS-16949 certification and compliance
  • Develop, implement, communicate and maintain a quality plan to bring the Company’s Quality Systems and Policies into compliance with quality system requirements
  • Effectively interact with Production and Development teams to maintain product supply and help introduce new products
  • Working with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers
  • Ensuring compliance with national and international standards and legislation
  • Set boundary standards and establish clearly defined quality methods for staff to apply
  • Defining quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff
  • Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures
  • Liaising with customers’ auditors and ensuring the execution of corrective action and compliance with customers’ specifications
  • Establishing standards of service for customers or clients
  • Monitoring performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports
  • Organize and manage quality assurance function in close co-operation with the customers and with the Company’s Management team (Member of Management Team)
  • Identifying relevant quality-related training needs and delivering training
  • Collating and analyzing performance data and charts against defined parameters
  • Ensuring tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated and that product modifications are investigated if necessary
  • Supervising technical staff in carrying out tests and checks
  • Writing technical and management systems reports
  • Manage and maintain the Company’s quality inspection and product release programs for incoming and in-process materials and components, processes and finished goods
  • Formulate and manage the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and systems pertaining to the QA/QC
  • Maintaining awareness of the business context and company profitability, including budgetary control issues
  • Assessing the product specifications of the company and its suppliers, and comparing with customer requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A business/technical bachelor’s degree
  • A minimum of 5 years of Quality Management work experience in an automotive manufacturing environment and/or related field
    • Maintaining the full Quality Management system including; maintaining quality plans, corrective actions, maintaining all certifications, and customer compliance
  • Proven experience working in the TS-16949 quality environment

PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Masters degree
  • TS Lead auditor certification
  • Bi-lingual (Mandarin and English)
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of customer procedures and expectations
  • Ability to successfully handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to take ownership with minimal direction
