We are recruiting an experienced Process Technician/Production Supervisor to join our team to support our client in the automotive industry.
NOTE:
- Afternoon Shift & Midnight Shift
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide hands-on technical support and daily leadership within our injection moulding operations
- Ensure production processes meet safety, quality, efficiency, and throughput expectations while supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Supervise day-to-day production operations and provide direction to employees
- Develop and maintain process setup sheets for new and existing products
- Support mould transfers from engineering into production
- Set up and optimize injection moulding machines, moulds, and automotive-grade materials
- Fine-tune process settings to achieve optimal cycle times while meeting customer quality requirements
- Review manufacturing methods and implement improvements related to machine setup, material handling, automation, and the work environment
- Assist with the development, implementation, and training of process requirements for operators, material handlers, and setup personnel
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on production equipment
- Document process changes, setups, and other quality system requirements
- Prepare production reports, shipping documentation, and other required reports
- Enforce company policies and procedures related to health and safety, quality, environmental compliance, and human resources
- Communicate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams regarding day-to-day production or quality matters
- Promote continuous improvement throughout the department
- Promote a safe workplace and ensuring employees follow required procedures, protective measures, and PPE requirements
- Identify and communicate workplace hazards, take reasonable precautions to protect employees, and support emergency evacuation and spill-response procedures
- Follow and promote the company's Health and Safety, Environmental Management, and IATF 16949 Quality Systems
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- Minimum three years of automotive manufacturing experience working with injection moulding machines and process setups
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Previous experience supervising or leading employees
- Hands-on leader who combines strong injection moulding expertise with effective employee supervision, problem-solving, communication, and continuous improvement skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills, including data entry and report preparation
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016, and ISO 14001:2015 requirements
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- $32.50 – $34.50/hour (depending on experience)
- Paid Benefits after 90 days (individual and family) – extended medical, out-of-country coverage, dental etc.
- Pension eligibility, with employer match, after 1 full year of work (open enrollment every October)
