Job Description

We are recruiting an experienced Project Engineer to join our team to support our client in the automotive industry.

NOTE:

  • Must be willing and able to travel to the USA, without restrictions, effective on the start date
  • Onsite

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate, schedule, and track battery testing activities across the facility
  • Managing battery pack and cell test requests
  • Monitoring testing
  • Optimizing resource utilization
  • Ensuring product development and validation milestones are achieved on schedule
  • Interface with Product Development and Validation teams to understand current and future testing requirements
  • Coordinate battery pack and cell testing activities to support product development objectives
  • Work with test requestors to improve the quality, completeness, and timing of test requests
  • Develop and maintain test schedules and capacity forecasts aligned with testing plans and program milestones
  • Optimize utilization of testing resources, including test channels, equipment, and laboratory capacity
  • Monitor testing progress, throughput, equipment utilization, and issue resolution
  • Identify and mitigate project and operational risks that may impact testing schedules or deliverables
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, remove roadblocks, and develop recovery plans
  • Capture and implement lessons learned to improve testing processes and project execution
  • Provide regular reporting on test status, resource utilization, and key performance metrics
  • Escalate critical issues and risks to management as required

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 5 years of expereince in Engineering Project Management
  • Strong project management, planning, and organizational skills
  • Ability to coordinate activities across multiple cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Experience managing schedules, priorities, and technical workflows in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and issue-resolution capabilities
  • Experience in battery testing, product development, validation, laboratory operations, or related engineering fields is an asset
  • Highly organized, proactive engineer who can effectively manage competing priorities, drive execution, and ensure battery testing programs are delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  • $39.00 - $43.00/hour (depending on experience)
  • Paid Benefits after 90 days (individual and family) – extended medical, out-of-country coverage, dental etc.
  • Pension eligibility, with employer match, after 1 full year of work (open enrollment every October)
