We are recruiting an experienced Quality Engineer to join our team to support our client in the automotive industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensuring product and process quality throughout the manufacturing lifecycle by supporting APQP activities, PPAP submissions, customer requirements, problem-solving initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts
- Develops and maintains quality systems aligned with IATF 16949 standards
- Leads investigations into quality issues
- Facilitates corrective and preventive actions
- Monitors key performance indicators to improve product conformity and customer satisfaction
- Working closely with production, engineering, suppliers, and customers, the Quality Engineer drives defect prevention, risk reduction, and operational excellence across manufacturing operations.
- Support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with IATF 16949, CSR’s and internal quality standards
- Develop, maintain, and update quality procedures, work instructions, and documentation
- Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure product conformity
- Participate in new product launches and process changes
- Investigate customer complaints and quality concerns and lead corrective action activities
- Act as a liaison between customers and internal departments regarding quality-related issues
- Support customer audits, assessments, and visits and conduct internal audits (LPA, process, product)
- Lead root cause analysis investigations using methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone Analysis
- Support Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities
- Prepare and review Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation
- Review and maintain PFMEAs, Control Plans, process flow diagrams, and related quality documentation
- Monitor KPIs including PPM, scrap, rework, customer complaints, and internal defects.
- Prepare reports and present quality performance information to management and customers
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects focused on quality, cost reduction, waste elimination, and process optimization
- Provide quality-related training and guidance to employees and supervisors

- Prioritize safety and comply with the Health and Safety Management System
- Support risk reduction, hazard identification, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and wellness legislation and company standards
- Uphold and adhere to the Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct
Environmental
- Promote the global Environmental Management System with a focus on footprint reduction, recycling, and resource efficiency
- Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and company standards.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in: Engineering, Quality Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent in experience.
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) is preferred
- Minimum of three (3) or more years of quality engineering experience within a Tier 1 automotive manufacturing environment is preferred
- Experience with IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, customer complaint management, supplier quality, internal auditing, and continuous improvement methodologies is strongly preferred
- Skills and Abilities: Quality Management Systems, Automotive Core Tools, Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis, Analytical Thinking, Customer Focus and Supplier Management, Auditing, Teamwork and Collaboration Attention to Detail
- Computer Skills: Microsoft 365, Quality Management Systems (QMS), ERP/MRP Systems, Statistical Analysis Software, Customer Portals
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- $60,000 - $82,000/year (depending on experience)
