Job Description

We are recruiting an experienced Data Engineer/Analyst to join our team to support our client in the automotive industry.

NOTE:

  • Hybrid – 4 days in the office/week

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Transform connected vehicle data into actionable insights that directly influence engineering, product, sales, and executive decisions
  • Deliver trusted, high-quality insights that enhance the connected vehicle experience and enable data-driven decision-making across the organization
  • Partner closely with vehicle embedded engineers, product owners, and technical product managers to understand how data is generated, instrumented, and interpreted within connected vehicle ecosystems
  • Translate loosely defined business problems into scalable data solutions with measurable impact
  • Apply statistical methods (e.g., hypothesis testing, correlation analysis, regression modeling) to validate assumptions and quantify relationships between vehicle signals and business outcomes
  • Act as a bridge between technical data teams, technical software developers and non-technical data consumers
  • Data Engineering & Analytics Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using structured and semi-structured data sources
  • Develop statistical and analytical models using SQL, Python, or R to conduct trend analysis, anomaly detection, and driver/vehicle behavior insights
  • Apply regression, time series analysis, and multivariate analysis to understand key drivers of system performance and customer experience
  • Work with high-volume and noisy telemetry data in a fast-paced, production-grade environment
  • Implement ETL/ELT workflows across diverse data types and ingestion protocols (e.g., OAuth-based APIs)
  • Data Quality & Validation Investigate and validate upstream data quality before building analytical models
  • Perform root-cause analysis on data inconsistencies related to vehicle signal instrumentation
  • Establish monitoring and validation frameworks to ensure high data integrity and reliability
  • Collaborate with upstream system owners to resolve data lineage and signal mapping issues
  • Visualization & Communication Design executive-ready dashboards using Power BI, LookerStudio or similar tools
  • Communicate complex technical findings in a clear, business-impact-focused manner
  • Present analytical results during demo, business audience reviews, and executive briefings
  • Partner closely with domain experts to ensure data accurately represents real-world vehicle behavior and customer experience

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or a WES-evaluated equivalent
  • 10+ years Data Engineering work experience
  • 5+ years of experience SQL, Google Cloud Platform, Python, Database Design, Data Integrity, Data Modeling, Data Science, Data/Analytics, Relational Databases
  • Deeply understands how vehicle telemetry data is instrumented, collected, and transformed

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  • $47.00 - $51.00/ hour (depending on experience)
  • Paid Benefits after 90 days (individual and family) – extended medical, out-of-country coverage, dental etc.
  • Pension eligibility, with employer match, after 1 full year of work
