We are recruiting an experienced Software Test Automation Developer to join our team to support our client in the automotive industry.
NOTE:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in a project and working through the development lifecycle from concept, test plan design, implementation, test bed setup, execution, issue debugging and isolation, to quality metrics tracking
- Develop automated testing scripts and libraries that ensure the reliability of our infotainment, connectivity, and sensor technologies
- Deliver high-quality software for Ethernet- and CAN-connected ECUs
- Improving vehicle safety, efficiency, and the overall rider experience
- Delivering software solutions to validate the latest vehicle technologies
- Testing new software, developing automated test scripts, libraries and maintaining automated test suite execution
- Drive the testing of cloud-connected software for CAN/Ethernet-based vehicle modules in a fast-paced Agile setting
- Translate complex requirements into robust test strategies to guarantee system reliability
- Build scalable automated testing solutions and libraries by leveraging both in-house and open-source technologies
- Oversee automated test suites and resolve issues arising from high-volume test setups
- Identify and track software defects, ensuring resolutions meet production standards
- Champion code quality through peer reviews and provide guidance to junior team members
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in computer science engineering or a related field from an accredited university or a WES-evaluated equivalent (Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained)
- 5+ years of professional overall experience in software testing, automation, or software development
- 4+ years of experience in development and object-oriented design
- 4+ years of experience in maintaining automated execution of a large number of tests and triaging test results
- 3+ years of experience in Python-based test frameworks such as Slash, Pytest
- 3+ year experience in Python based test framework such as Slash or Pytest
- 2+ years of experience in automotive software functional testing
- 1+ year experience in Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Protobuf
- Experience creating both test cases and automated tests (Ability to execute, analyze, and triage large, automated test suites)
- API-level testing experience
- Strong Python programming experience OOP
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Microsoft Copilot
PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's in Embedded Systems
- Experience with Java, C++ and Groovy
- Experience with embedded system testing
- Experience with data analytics and visualization
- Proven aptitude for troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Detail-oriented and adept at detecting and diagnosing software defects
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a multi-site team environment where self-driven and self-motivated capabilities are key qualities
- Experience as an Automation Test Developer in the automotive industry
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- $49.00-$53.00/ hour (depending on experience)
- Paid Benefits after 90 days (individual and family) – extended medical, out-of-country coverage, dental etc.
- Pension eligibility, with employer match, after 1 full year of work
