We are recruiting an experienced Quality Engineer to join our team to support our client in the automotive industry.
NOTE:
- Currently a remote working position but may go Onsite 100% in Windsor, Ontario
- Candidate must be able to relocate to Windsor, ON
- Must be willing and able to travel to the USA, without restrictions, effective on the start date
- Valid driver's license is required as well as a clean driving record
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure the company's products and processes meet established quality standards by identifying shortfalls, developing corrective measures, and implementing quality control systems
- Perform root cause analysis of quality issues to analyze quality performance utilizing statistical, analytical and advance problem-solving tools
- Recommend and implement cost effective permanent corrective actions
- Analyze quality data from internal and external indicators to ensure correlation
- Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing and Suppliers to resolve issues that are not plant controllable
- Manage engineering changes, working with cross functional teams to ensure timely execution
- Conduct product evaluation requests to ensure robustness of product or process changes before full implementation
- Recommend and validate rework procedures
- Develop inspection procedures and best practices
- The technical focus of the role is primarily on electrical and electronic components within vehicles, specifically the twelve-volt low voltage battery
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- 0-6 yrs of experience
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited or equivalent program
- Must have excellent troubleshooting skills to ensure that processes and products consistently meet or exceed established quality standards

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- $37.00 - $41.38/hour (depending on experience)
- Paid Benefits after 90 days (individual and family) – extended medical, out-of-country coverage, dental etc.
- Pension eligibility, with employer match, after 1 full year of work
