Job Description

We are recruiting an experienced Software Engineer to join our team to support our client in the automotive industry.

NOTE:

  • Hybrid (4 days/week in office)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Designing, developing, testing and maintaining software applications and products to meet customer needs
  • Involved in the entire software development lifecycle including designing software architecture, writing code, testing for quality and deploying the software to meet customer requirements
  • Develop all components of software including user interface and server side also fall within this job function
  • Lead the design and implementation of system-level components and applications within the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) to power next-generation infotainment experiences
  • Drive the adoption of Clean Architecture and modern design patterns to build scalable, maintainable, and robust software that bridges high-level application logic with underlying Android framework internals
  • Develop high-performance features using Java and Kotlin, ensuring seamless integration between the application layer and the Android middleware
  • Establish and maintain rigorous testing standards by implementing comprehensive unit, instrumentation, and integration
  • Work with AI tools in development process to improve efficiency
  • Work across cross-functional teams and drive technical solutions end-to-end
  • Utilize advanced debugging skills to identify and resolve complex bottlenecks and race conditions within multi-layered, distributed system environments

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or a WES-evaluated equivalent
  • 7+ years of professional experience in software development, specifically focused on application layers.
  • 3+ years of Java experience
  • 3+ years of Kotlin experience

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  • $71.00 - $76.00/hour (depending on experience)
  • Paid Benefits after 90 days (individual and family) – extended medical, out-of-country coverage, dental etc.
  • Pension eligibility, with employer match, after 1 full year of work (open enrollment every October)
