Job Description

We are recruiting an experienced Software Project Manager to join our team to support our client in the automotive industry.

NOTE:

  • Onsite

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate day-to-day execution across Jira planning, release management, vendor tracking, requirements management, and stakeholder reporting
  • Support dashboard development and executive reporting, using modern productivity tools, including LLMs and prompt engineering, to improve workflow efficiency, status visibility, and documentation quality
  • Manage Jira issues, priorities, dependencies, and sprint/release planning
  • Support software release coordination across engineering, QA, and vendor teams
  • Track requirements, risks, blockers, and action items through the project lifecycle
  • Prepare dashboards, status reports, and leadership-ready updates
  • Coordinate with internal and external vendors to ensure deliverables stay on track
  • Use LLMs and prompt engineering to streamline reporting, meeting prep, and documentation
  • Help drive cross-functional alignment across software, hardware, and connectivity stakeholders

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or a WES-evaluated equivalent
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Connected Vehicle Software Project Manager or Technical Project Manager
  • 3-5 years of professional Jira/SQA experience supporting a large, fast-paced team that delivers connected-vehicle software programs
  • Proven experience supporting software development teams
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodology, SDLC, and release planning
  • Hands-on experience with Jira and project reporting/dashboard tools
  • Experience managing requirements, dependencies, and vendor communications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a high attention to detail
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a technical environment with software development teams
  • Experience working with hardware development teams is a plus, and familiarity with cellular mobile technologies and mobile network certification is highly desirable

PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working with hardware development teams
  • Familiarity with cellular/mobile technologies, telematics, or mobile network certification
  • Experience in automotive, mobility, telecom, or embedded systems environments
  • Exposure to AI-assisted productivity tools, including LLMs and prompt engineering

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  • $48.00 - $53.00/hour (depending on experience)
  • Paid Benefits after 90 days (individual and family) – extended medical, out-of-country coverage, dental etc.
  • Pension eligibility, with employer match, after 1 full year of work (open enrollment every October)
