Job Description

We are recruiting an experienced Software Testing Senior Specialist to join our team to support our client in the automotive industry.

NOTE:

  • Onsite

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Testing features and support of Wireless LAN / Wi-Fi connectivity in the fully networked vehicle
  • Delivery of software solutions that facilitate testing of the latest automotive infotainment and connectivity technologies
  • Develop and maintain automated test tools, a test framework, and test scripts
  • Utilize a 3-layer architecture (Seed DSL, Job Generators, Declarative Pipelines) and maintain Groovy shared libraries.
  • Innovation via AI/ML: Implement and refine AI agentic tools for automated monitoring, defect triage, and R&D efficiency reporting
  • Design and test new Wi-Fi features
  • Develop test plans and suites based on requirements and features
  • Develop and maintain software tools and features to assist in automated testing
  • Develop and maintain test libraries that interface with the target under test
  • Develop and maintain test libraries that interface with the test management system and the defect tracking system
  • Interface with development and test teams to understand testing requirements, and implement required test tools and test scripts
  • Contribute to team deliverables through involvement in agile scrum development sprints
  • Optimize performance and improve robustness of the software
  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver features that span multiple systems

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or a WES-evaluated equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in a software test role
  • 3+ years of experience in Python development
  • Skills Required: Python, Software Testing, Ethernet, GitHub, TCP/IP
  • Must have experience with common networking technologies (e.g. Ethernet, IP, TCP, UDP, ICMP, ping, ARP, Route, DNS, DHCP)
  • Must have experience with common development tools. (e.g. git)
  • Must have experience with object-oriented programming concepts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical with the ability to produce creative and effective software solutions to problems
  • Strong aptitude for troubleshooting and problem-solving.

PREFFERED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of Wi-Fi and/or cellular wireless technologies
  • Experience with a continuous integration system. (Jenkins)
  • Experience interfacing with Test Case management system (e.g. TestRail) and Defect Tracking system (e.g. JIRA)
  • Experience with automated testing environments and frameworks. (e.g. Slash)
  • Experience with the Android ecosystem
  • Experience with data packet analysis and related tooling. (e.g. Wireshark/tcpdump)
  • Skills Preferred: Jira

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  • $60.00 - $65.00/hour (depending on experience)
  • Paid Benefits after 90 days (individual and family) – extended medical, out-of-country coverage, dental etc.
  • Pension eligibility, with employer match, after 1 full year of work (open enrollment every October)
