Job Description

We are currently recruiting an experienced EE Quality Management Engineer to join our team supporting our client in the automotive industry.

NOTE:

  • Hybrid position in Windsor with potential to be Onsite 100% in the future
  • Must be willing and able to travel to the USA, without restrictions, effective on the start date for infrequent monthly meetings
  • Valid driver's license is required as well as a clean driving record

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Resolution and prevention of electrical quality issues including warranty and investigations from JD Powers and Consumer Reports
  • Focused on electrical systems and components in Connectivity and Infotainment- Radios, displays, monitors, clusters, ADAS, BSD etc.
  • Core commodities: CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, telematics, connected services, CCU communications, instrument clusters
  • Work with engineers and managers to achieve quality improvement goals
  • Leading cross-functional teams in the root cause, containment, corrective action and service action for quality and warranty issues
  • Prioritize warranty data to ensure the team is focused on the top items and will bridge communication between engineering, manufacturing, supplier quality and purchasing to ensure the appropriate expertise is engaged in the resolution process
  • Ensure the Lessons Learned are captured and read forward to all vehicle lines

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university
  • Minimum 1 year of electrical engineering experience in the automotive industry, a related industry, or demonstrated experience in academia
  • Minimum 1 year of electrical engineering experience working on electrical components or software
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and experience in leading projects
  • Demonstrated team leadership experience
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate team members
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver in a fast-paced work environment with minimum assistance

PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 3 years of electrical engineering experience working on electrical components
  • Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university
  • Reactive Shainin Green Belt/Black Belt certification
  • Proactive DFSS Green Belt/Black Belt certification

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  • $42.00 - $46.00/hour (depending on experience)
  • Paid Benefits after 90 days (individual and family) – extended medical, out-of-country coverage, dental etc.
  • Pension eligibility, with employer match, after 1 full year of work (open enrollment every October)
