We are recruiting an experienced Quality Analyst Pilot - Intermediate - to join our team to support our client in the automotive industry.
NOTE:
- Onsite 100% in Windsor, Ontario
- Must be willing and able to travel to the USA, without restrictions, effective on the start date
- Valid driver's license is required as well as a clean driving record
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Working with the Body, Chassis, Interior (BCI) Quality Team to ensure all project quality targets are met, managing launch timelines & deliverables and ensuring the transition to quality volume production
- Responsible for quality convergence, deploying quality management tools for the qualification of incoming parts and assemblies
- Responsible for issue Root Cause Analysis
- Updates supplier compliance dashboard and leads quality reviews, prioritizes supplier compliance actions consistent with expected vehicle quality
- Proposes pilots for issue resolution
- Responsible for escalation process based on the BCI business criteria for parts and assemblies
- Leads coaching for the strategic suppliers on the execution of complaint process and issue resolution
- Ensures root cause analysis and manages change requests to guarantee 100% quality at launch
- Manage correlation of measurements to KPIs and ensure data integrity
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent (materials/ chemical/ aerospace from an accredited University
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in automotive areas of Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality and Product Quality
- Knowledge of APQP/PPAP & Supplier Quality Manual
- Root Cause Analysis methods
- Knowledge of defect resolution, escalation processes and follow up
- Knowledge of metrology principles and understanding of statistical analysis and process control
- Understanding of vehicle design, assembly and process control
- Understanding of tooling and in plant processes
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communications skills with ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Ability to develop an action plan and drive the procedures for issue resolution
- Self-motivated. Able to meet deadlines with ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Strong English Speaking/Writing skills
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- $39.00/hour - $43.00/hour (depending on experience)
- Paid Benefits after 90 days (individual and family) – extended medical, out-of-country coverage, dental etc.
- Pension eligibility, with employer match, after 1 full year of work (open enrollment every October)
