We are recruiting an experienced Systems Engineer (Propulsion) to join our team to support our client in the automotive industry.
NOTE:
- Onsite
- Must be willing and able to travel to the USA, without restrictions, effective on the start date
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Development of the assigned subsystem
- Confirm the subsystem meets the defined requirements prior to delivery to the customer
- Identification of all applicable requirements for the assigned subsystem from all potential sources
- Documentation of the identified requirements for the assigned subsystem
- Execution of the assigned subsystem DFMEA
- Coordination of verification of the subsystem functionality to ensure requirements traceability
- Technical point of contact for the subsystem for all internal teams
- Participation in advanced development
- Meeting all program specific deliverables for the assigned subsystem
- Design and develop system requirements for propulsion features and be responsible for delivering feature requirements
- Work closely with propulsion team members, suppliers, DREs, networking teams and other internal stakeholders to gather required information
- Define information exchange needs and request uncanned signals when needed; update and release documents into the control scheme.
- Ensure alignment with functional safety requirements and regional regulations (e.g., European regulations if feature applies to Europe)
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, electrical, mechanical, or aerospace preferred
- 1-3 years of experience with propulsion experience (internal combustion engines, hybrids, EVs, batteries, motors, transmissions)
- Knowledge of hybrid vehicles, batteries, electric motors, transmissions
- Basic control system knowledge required to design
- Exposure to Model Based Systems Engineering methodology
- MATLAB/Simulink or MBSE experience, and control systems understanding
- MBSE/SysML (IBM Capsule) knowledge
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- $32.00 - $36.00/hour (depending on experience)
- Paid Benefits after 90 days (individual and family) – extended medical, out-of-country coverage, dental etc.
- Pension eligibility, with employer match, after 1 full year of work (open enrollment every October)
