Job Description

Our client, a designer/manufacturer and global integrator of welding and assembly systems and material handling systems, is searching for a Senior Robot Programmer to join their Automation & Assembly team!

NOTE:

  • Must be willing and able to travel to the USA, without restrictions, effective on the start date
  • Successful candidate is required to be eligible for TN Visa

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Robotic Programming & Integration
  • Program industrial robots (Fanuc, ABB, Kawasaki, Yaskawa, Nachi)
  • Develop offline programs based on customer specifications
  • Create precise, high-quality robot path programming
Commissioning & System Setup
  • Commission robotic systems following industry best practices
  • Configure communication protocols (Ethernet, DeviceNet, Profinet)
  • Set up safety systems (DCS, SafeMove, Cubic-S, RMU, Safe I/O)

Testing & Optimization

  • Debug and validate I/O signals, interference zones, and system functionality
  • Optimize robotic performance and cycle times
  • Implement and document engineering best practices

Applications & Customization

  • Support applications such as:
    • Welding, sealing, and joining
    • Material handling
    • Vision guidance and inspection systems
    • Washing and finishing processes

Client Support & Training

  • Travel to customer sites (local & international) for commissioning and support
  • Train end-users to maximize system uptime and efficiency
  • Provide clear documentation, shift reports, and technical guidance

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of Robot Programming/Designing/Integrating experience with Fanuc 3DV vision systems in industrial automation or robotics
  • Strong background in robotic programming and system integration
  • Experience with pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols and safety systems
  • Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  • $29.00/hour - $35.00/hour (depending on experience)
  • Paid Benefits after 90 days (individual and family) – extended medical, out-of-country coverage, dental etc.
  • Pension eligibility, with employer match, after 1 full year of work (open enrollment every October)
