We are recruiting an experienced Requirements Modeling Engineer (Feature Domain Modeling) to join our team to support our client in the automotive industry. The scope spans across all levels of the engineering structure: from vehicle to subsystems and components.
NOTE:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operational Analysis / System / Sub-systems / Components models
- Tests reports for individual layers (with issues root cause analysis)
- Traceability report between Requirement, Test cases / Models
- Functional complexity reduction
- Quality improvement throughout specifications issues deletion
- Simplification of Product diversity management based on MBSE approach
- Decrease time to market throughout lead time reduction
- Decrease Integrational issues between layers
- Interact with system architect/designers/FDML/FDME/PO/SM/Solution architect
- Adapt to agile way of model development
- Reports any tools issues to the vendor, Also reports Plugin, Profiles, helper issues
- Attend Agile Scrum/Planning/BRP/Retro/review meeting regularly
- Implementing new MBSE methods and processes evolutions for their own activities/perimeters, and with a cross-functional responsibility to deploy them to all concerned engineering teams
- Deployment of modeling concepts to support system requirements, design, analysis, verification, and validation of all vehicle’s features using relevant tools compliant with budget and roadmaps
- Converge with system teams leaders/designers on the definition of use cases where and when MBSE should be deployed, at ENG + SWx level (which projects, architectures, modules)
- Monitor the MBSE deliverables within the respect of MBSE Roadmap, system teams backlogs, projects timelines
- Measure the MBSE deployment throughout the right KPIs and sharing them with counterparts (System team daily dashboards, management line, etc)
- Support on System Team Modeling Staffing
- Evaluate system team coverage by MBSE approach and raise staffing needs on their own perimeters
- Identify training/coaching needs for modelers to ensure MBSE efficiency
- Guarantee the compliance with MBSE process by individual layers designers
- Follow the process for improving MBSE process
- Provides feedbacks of Rhapsody and share them with the Rhapsody development team to improve MBSE toolchain
- Rhapsody projects on their own perimeters, by updating, freezing, and sharing projects’ versions with FDML’s
- Involved in technical review process definition, and they must apply it on their own projects
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong proficiency and minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience with UML and SysML modeling languages, as well as common MBSE structures and solutions
- Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Requirements Modeling, and System Architecture Expertise
- Proficiency in systems engineering practices, including requirements engineering (INCOSE practices), system integration, verification, and testing (end-to-end SE lifecycle)
- Real-world experience in developing use cases, business models, state machines, and other SysML artifacts
- Experience with IBM Rational Rhapsody or similar tools (e.g., MagicDraw); familiarity with EWM, DOORS, GitHub, and testing tools
- Good understanding of communication protocols and EE system requirements
- Experience with object-oriented programming (C++, Java)
- Experience in automation and scripting to support systems engineering processes
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with tool developers, engineering teams, and customers
- Autonomy and ability to work without supervision in an agile environment
- Proven ability to produce high-quality model-based requirements, interface definitions, and design specifications in a collaborative environment
PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in Java development, including API and plugin development (especially for IBM Rhapsody)
- Experience with INCOSE best practices and system lifecycle
- Agile certification or significant experience in an Agile environment
- Experience in the automotive industry and with related tools (MATLAB, CATIA Magic)VEOS training and GUI development with WPF
- Ability to integrate auto-generated code on various platforms; Knowledge of AUTOSAR compliant code generation
- Knowledge of or interest in AI and large language models (LLMs)
- Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) certification
- Familiarity with Orthogonal Arrays for System Behavior Testing
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- $41.00 / hour - $45.00 / hour (depending on experience)
- Paid Benefits after 90 days (individual and family) – extended medical, out-of-country coverage, dental etc.
- Pension eligibility, with employer match, after 1 full year of work (open enrollment every October)
