We are recruiting an experienced Quality Supervisor/Lead to join our team to support our client.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drives the quality system ensuring that procedures and practices are in place and being adhered to. Involvement in continuous improvement of these procedures and practices
- Proven experience on ISO-9001-2015, Able to schedule, monitor internal and external audit
- Proven experience on PPAP, 5Why, 8D, Corrective Action activities, implementation of a plant wide 5S Visual Management System
- Manage Sample/Prototype and PPAP runs to assure customer compliance
- Manager/monitor direct reports in order to meet and achieve company objectives
- Great problem solving, Able to analyze situation neutrally
- Provides direction, leadership and motivation to direct reports thru daily supervision and/or mentoring activities
- Calibration of inspection devices and recordkeeping
- Create work instruction and Quality alert as needed
- Proven ability to review and analyze dimensional reports
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-secondary education in quality (preference to CQE/CMQ will be given)
- Minimum of 5 years quality management system experience in a welding/fabrication shop
- Full understanding of SPC and ability to apply within manufacturing
- Quality auditing training and experience
- Strong problem solving and reporting skills
- Experience in lean manufacturing principles would be an asset
- Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision
- Strong knowledge of machining and fabrication process
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- $25.00 - $30.00 / hour (depending on experience)
- Paid Benefits after 90 days (individual and family) – extended medical, out-of-country coverage, dental etc.
- Pension eligibility, with employer match, after 1 full year of work (open enrollment every October)
