Job Description

We are recruiting an experienced Quality Supervisor/Lead to join our team to support our client.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drives the quality system ensuring that procedures and practices are in place and being adhered to. Involvement in continuous improvement of these procedures and practices
  • Proven experience on ISO-9001-2015, Able to schedule, monitor internal and external audit
  • Proven experience on PPAP, 5Why, 8D, Corrective Action activities, implementation of a plant wide 5S Visual Management System
  • Manage Sample/Prototype and PPAP runs to assure customer compliance
  • Manager/monitor direct reports in order to meet and achieve company objectives
  • Great problem solving, Able to analyze situation neutrally
  • Provides direction, leadership and motivation to direct reports thru daily supervision and/or mentoring activities
  • Calibration of inspection devices and recordkeeping
  • Create work instruction and Quality alert as needed
  • Proven ability to review and analyze dimensional reports

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary education in quality (preference to CQE/CMQ will be given)
  • Minimum of 5 years quality management system experience in a welding/fabrication shop
  • Full understanding of SPC and ability to apply within manufacturing
  • Quality auditing training and experience
  • Strong problem solving and reporting skills
  • Experience in lean manufacturing principles would be an asset
  • Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision
  • Strong knowledge of machining and fabrication process

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  • $25.00 - $30.00 / hour (depending on experience)
  • Paid Benefits after 90 days (individual and family) – extended medical, out-of-country coverage, dental etc.
  • Pension eligibility, with employer match, after 1 full year of work (open enrollment every October)
