Job Description

We are recruiting an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team to support our client.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping functions including recording financial transactions, maintaining the general ledger, and ensuring accurate records using Sage 300 accounting software
  • Prepare financial reports and month-end documentation, including trial balances, reconciliations, and reports for internal stakeholders
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, monitor invoices and payments, maintain vendor and client relationships, and reconcile bank statements
  • Process weekly payroll and related obligations, including wage calculations, tax withholdings, ROEs, T4s, benefit plan administration, and government remittances
  • Support operational administration, including import/export documentation, courier paperwork (FedEx/Purolator), work-in-progress documentation, and filing
  • Provide general administrative support such as answering phones and coordinating travel and lodging arrangements as required

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10 years of Full Cycle Bookkeeping experience. Preference given to candidates with manufacturing experience
  • Minimum of 3 years demonstrated working experience with Sage 300
  • College Diploma in Accounting
  • Self-starter, solid communication, organization and customer service skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel & Outlook
  • Familiar with ESA (Employment Standards Act)

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  • $30.00 - $35.00 / hour (depending on experience)
  • Paid Benefits after 90 days (individual and family) – extended medical, out-of-country coverage, dental etc.
  • Pension eligibility, with employer match, after 1 full year of work (open enrollment every October)
