We are recruiting an experienced Design Release Engineer (Wire Harness) to join our team to support our client in the automotive industry.
NOTE:
- Hybrid
- Must be willing and able to travel to the USA, without restrictions, effective on the start date
- Valid driver's license is required as well as a clean driving record
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and release of wiring harness assemblies and related components
- Coordinate drawing creation CAD release in Teamcenter and validation of released components in the vehicle and component environments
- Support manufacturing facilities for entire life cycle and manage a supplier engineering support team
- Manage large amounts of data and be very comfortable working in corporate computer systems
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
- 3 years of transportation wiring design and release experience or vehicle electrical system experience
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Wiring or electrical experience with a supplier or OEM
- Excellent communication skills that include writing, creation and presentation of management level high quality presentation materials and reports
- Proficient in MS Office suite of tools including PowerPoint, Excel and Word
PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
- Training in DFMEA DVP&R and DFSS development tools and processes.
- Working knowledge of CAD systems (NX, Catia)
- Fluency in Italian and / or Spanish
- Experience in high volume manufacturing facilities
- Familiarity with wiring harness drawings and specifications for automotive applications
- Web publishing and familiarity with SharePoint data management environments
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:- $42.00 – $46.00 / (depending on experience)
- Paid Benefits after 90 days (individual and family) – extended medical, out-of-country coverage, dental etc.
- Pension eligibility, with employer match, after 1 full year of work (open enrollment every October)
