Our client, a designer/manufacturer and global integrator of welding and assembly systems and material handling systems, is in search of a PLC Programming Supervisor to join their team.
NOTE:
- Must be willing and able to travel to the USA, without restrictions, effective on the start date
- Successful candidate is required to be eligible for TN Visa
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead end-to-end PLC project execution, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and schedule targets are achieved
- Plan and allocate resources with the PLC Programming Manager while monitoring performance and budget adherence
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support commissioning, installation, and service needs
- Mentor and develop team members while establishing engineering standards and ensuring proper documentation
- Optimize and improve control systems, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and coordinating all changes
- Hands-On Programming: Perform PLC logic and programming tasks using AB Control Logix controllers, Rockwell RSLogix 5000, Factory View, Siemens Step 7, Siemens TIA Portal, WinCC Flexible 2007, DNet, Industrial ENet, Profibus, and Profinet
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Completed degree or diploma in Controls or Electrical program
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of direct experience in PLC programming and debugging within a machine-build environment
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead both people and projects effectively, fostering collaboration and accountability
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency with Rockwell, Siemens, and other major control platforms, including integration of networked systems and smart devices
- Collaboration: Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Mindset: A proactive, solutions-driven attitude and a commitment to continuous improvement
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:- $40.00 - $45.00/hour (depending on experience)
- Overtime after 40 hours/week
