Job Description

Our client, a machine build integrator specializing in welding, assembly, and material handling systems, is seeking a Automation Technician to join their team.

NOTE:

Must be willing and able to travel to the USA, without restrictions, effective on the start date
Successful candidate is required to be eligible for TN Visa
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collaborate with mechanical and controls engineers, and skilled trades during programming, tryout, and installation phases
Program and debug PLC logic for automated systems at facilities and customer sites
Enhance control systems and integrate smart devices (cameras, nut runners, drives) into projects
Collect and manage machine data per customer requirements
Validate I/O signals, troubleshoot issues, and document all control logic changes
Provide end-user training and on-site support locally and internationally
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

College or University education in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Robotics, or related field
3–5 years of experience designing, programming, installing, commissioning, and troubleshooting automated equipment in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Ability to develop PLC programs from scratch
Experience with PLC platforms such as Rockwell, Siemens, and Omron
Familiarity with integrating smart devices and automation components into control systems
Flexibility to adjust work hours to support customer production timelines
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

$38.00 - $40.00/hour (depending on experience)
Overtime after 40 hours/week
