Job Description

We are recruiting an experienced Product Engineer (BIW) to join our team to support our client in the automotive industry.

NOTE:

  • Hybrid
  • Must be willing and able to travel internationally, without restrictions, effective on the start date

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Creating CAD (Catia/NX) parametric math models for BIW upperbody components/subassemblies using Knowledge Based Engineering template modeling techniques
  • Managing internal and external suppliers
  • Supporting pre-production and launch activities at vehicle assembly plants (US, Mexico, CA)
  • Creating and maintaining CBOM and quadris
  • Benchmarking

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent bachelor’s degree with experience
  • 2+ Years of CAD modeling with Siemens NX
  • 2+ Years of Robust Modeling with Siemens NX
  • 2+ Years of Parametric CAD Modeling with Siemens NX
  • 2+ Years of Body in White (Automotive) Engineering Experience
  • Extensive knowledge of Teamcenter and NX modeling and an extensive background developing, packaging, and releasing BIW components and subassemblies
  • In-plant body shop experience
  • Vehicle launch experience
  • Sheet metal (BIW upperbody/underbody or closures) design and release experience (KBE trained)
  • Strong English Speaking skills, including technical language
  • Strong Engineering Design Project Presentation skills

PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ Years of Body in White and/or Closures CAD Engineering experience.
  • 5+ years of body experience
  • 5+ Years of CAD Parametric Modeling with Siemens NX

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  • $40.00 - $44.00/hour (depending on experience)
  • Paid Benefits after 90 days (individual and family) – extended medical, out-of-country coverage, dental etc.
  • Pension eligibility, with employer match, after 1 full year of work (open enrollment every October)
