Job Description

Our behalf of our Global Tier 1 Supplier of Automotive HVAC Systems client we are recruiting for a Senior HVAC Designer to join their team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • A primary interface with the customer and or suppliers
  • Perform detailed and comprehensive design package studies either at the customer’s location or in house
  • Present designs to the customer and participate in customer product development meetings
  • Responsible for the timely production of extremely high quality and complex 3D Cad models and drawings to world class standards and agreed program timing
  • Release data via TeamCenter
  • Assist in CAD systems administration and electronic data transfer
  • Assist in the coordination of designers
  • Act as a mentor to fellow designers
  • High-level knowledge of data translation and data transfer methods, such as STEP, IGES, STL and FTP
  • Operate 3D printers for rapid prototypes along with scheduling and minor maintenance
  • Interface with suppliers from a CAD perspective to ensure high quality and timely product is supplied
  • Interface with customers in a professional manner ensuring customer satisfaction in all aspects of CAD design
  • Support purchasing, engineers and management
  • Position may require assignment to offsite locations at customer premises or other locations either inside the United States or outside
  • Responsible to keep up to date with all Quality Management System(s) changes within the organization
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Mechanical or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Application of CATIA V5 and or Unigraphics NX9 software in the automotive field
  • Foreign language (e.g. German, Spanish or Chinese) is a plus
  • Good Computer skills (including the complete MS-Office package)
  • Excellent communication skills and professional attitude
  • A high level knowledge of Plastic Injection Molded component design and tool design
  • Proven ability to execute a design from concept through final production models and drawings
