On behalf of our civil infrastructure and operation client, we are currently recruiting for a Project Scheduler to join their team. This position will be responsible for supporting all planning and scheduling activities through development and maintenance of schedules for enterprise project management. The Project Scheduler will analyze the schedule(s) and maintain communication with all departments regarding performance.
Develop and maintain tracking of work scope and the schedule performance against approved project goals and objectives through coordination with staff and contractors
Regularly analyze and update schedules and activities to identify areas of critically. Analyze process at the activity level in coordination with Project Manager(s) and determine implications to the project. Undertake schedule analysis and delay analysis and identify potential schedule impacts resulting from delays
Support the planning and scheduling activities of the organization through process mapping and identification of activities. Prepare management level reports regarding schedule performance (including Cost Performance Indicators and Schedule Performance Indicators) and alert management to potential schedule problems and necessary actions and mitigations
Conduct schedule risk analysis on an on-going basis and review risk register and assess potential impacts to schedule in coordination with Project Risk Manager
Develop and maintain project schedules based on the philosophies for the project using Primavera P6
As required, provide support to Senior Project Scheduler for the Master Schedule
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or another related discipline or Diploma in a related field and/or minimum 5 years’ relevant work experience
PMP Certification is an asset
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar or related role
Demonstrated experience with project scheduling software
Proficient with Primavera P6
Intermediate to advanced MS Project and Visio
Strong problem solving skills, able to handle complex problems to develop strategies for resolution
Superior multi-tasking skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline oriented and dynamic environment
Strong analytical, critical thinking and reasoning skills
Demonstrated ability to effectively and professionally communicate orally and in writing
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment to drive results
Strong interpersonal skills that support building internal/external relationships
Ability to obtain a Government of Canada Personnel Screening/Security Clearance
