Job Description

On behalf of our World Class Manufacturing client we are recruiting for a Quality Engineer.

  • Perform root cause analysis of quality issues, often using advanced problem solving tools
  • Recommend and implement simple cost-effective permanent corrective actions
  • Analyze quality data from internal and external indicators to ensure correlation
  • Manage engineering changes, working with cross-functional team to ensure timely execution
  • Conduct product evaluation requests to ensure robustness of product or process change before full implementation
  • Work with Engineering and Suppliers to resolve issues that are not plant controllable
  • Recommend and validate rework procedures, develop inspection procedures and best methods for performing inspection
  • Develop projects to support World Class Manufacturing.
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering
  • 1 year Powertrain and / or Manufacturing exp
  • Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), general engine components and part print reading
  • Good math skills
  • Ability to interface with all levels of the organization from shop floor to management
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Moderate to Excellent MS Office skills - Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel
  • Familiarity with metal machining principles and processes for engine block, cylinder head and crankshaft
  • May be required to drive a company vehicle – valid drivers license & clean driving record required
  • May be required to travel – domestic & international (0-20%)

  • Knowledge of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and Macros
  • Machining and tooling experience is a plus
