Job Description

We are currently recruiting an experienced Energy Management Performance Engineer to join our team supporting our client in the automotive industry.


  • Hybrid
  • Must be willing and able to travel to the USA, without restrictions, effective on the start date
  • Valid driver's license is required as well as a clean driving record


  • Perform integration activities of key program attributes for specific vehicles
  • Act as point contact for engineers and teams outside of EM&VP
  • Support creation of and updates to the EM&VP Scorecard
  • Provide technical status for all vehicle level performance, fuel economy, driveability, and weight management targets
  • Create work requests for the science teams within EM&VP
  • Review data from each of the EM&VP Science Teams
  • Work with extended teams to develop tradeoff opportunities between VDE, PSE, and driveability
  • Work with extended teams to develop risk mitigation plans
  • Validate customer functional objectives related to EM&VP
  • Participation on validation trips to ensure EM&VP targets are achieved
  • Work with EM&VP Science Teams to benchmark and future competitive vehicles


  • Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
  • 3+ years experience in product/propulsion system development
  • Experience/understand how to derive ABC coast down coefficients
  • Understanding of VDE sensitivities and tradeoff’s
  • Fuel economy and/or VDE simulation tool experience
  • Experience with Powertrain and Electrified Powertrain Systems
  • Experience in fuel economy testing and data analysis
  • Vehicle testing knowledge - chassis dyno, engine dyno, and an understanding of vehicle coast down
  • Experience with futuring and competitive benchmarking
