On behalf of our, reputable and stable, canning client located in the Kingsville, ON area we are currently recruiting for an experienced Seaming Mechanic to join their team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adjust and set seamers to give proper closure
- Adjust can fillers as required
- Familiarity with and ability to rebuild all the parts and components of the can seamer and filler
- Test can seams by cutting - inspection and micrometer
- Make all running repairs
- Order or list parts and install as required
- Dismantle and overhaul seamers as required
- Inspection of cans as required during production
- Ability to identify wear on seamer components
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 5 years of Seamer - Industrial Mechanic experience coupled with a High School Diploma is required
- Licensed Industrial Mechanic certification and experience with Angelus brand of machines is an asset
- Proven and demonstrated experience with troubleshooting, diagnosing, daily and preventative maintenance of seaming machines and secondary equipment
- Able to read and interpret diagrams and schematic
- Fluency in English (read, write and comprehend) language
- Able and willingness to work in a high volume environment performing routine and repetitive tasks
