Job Description

Our automotive client is in search of a Maintenance Technician (Controls and Automation) to join their team

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Installing the standardized machine interface(s) as per CU specifications, if necessary assisted by internal or external resources
  • Installing the access points for the energy management system
  • Assisting the production areas with automation projects as stipulated by the Manager
  • Modifying machines as per the “Machine Modification Process” and in compliance with statutory regulations
  • Using and recording correct data in the system (SAP-PM/OPRA)
  • Assisting the maintenance employees with any machine breakdowns, in particular with programming skills
  • Assisting with CIP activities (e.g. synchronizing robot movements

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Mechanical/Electrical Engineer/Technologist
  • Minimum 5 years of Controls / Maintenance Technician experience in an automotive manufacturing facility
  • Process and production orientation
  • Knowledge of FMEA, CAD
  • Process development for concept designs
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Very good knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley and Siemens)
  • Knowledge robot programming
  • Knowledge of vision systems
