We are currently recruiting an experienced Studio Engineer (Concept Studies Design & Packaging) to join our team supporting our client in the automotive industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct Architecture Feasibility (Quick Loop) Studies
- System Level Design Development of New Vehicle Concepts
- Propulsion and Chassis Packaging Proposals & Investigations
- Feasibility Assessments of New Platforms(architectures), Technologies and Components
- Support of the Development Process for New Platform Variants
- Establish Platform Layout - CAD Geometry of the Concept
- Interface with suppliers and internal cross-functional areas within the company, strong verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving capability
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, or other degrees and educational credentials in combination with relevant engineering experience may be considered
- A minimum of 1 year of relevant automotive experience preferred, will consider recent college graduates with a BSME degree
- CAD designer that can perform the following:
- Ability to develop 2D section proposals
- Ability to create 3D modeling properties/mockups & Engineering counterproposals
- Multi-task (support several programs simultaneously)
- GD&T knowledge (challenging Best Practice clearance requirements)
- Familiarity with chassis and propulsion systems such as suspension, steering, engine and drivelines
PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Masters degree
- Experience with Chrysler release systems (NX & Teamcenter)
- 5 years minimum Product Design or Packaging
- A2MAC software knowledge
NOTE:
- Remote
- Must be willing and able to travel to the USA, without restrictions, effective on the start date
