Human Resources Representative

An industry-leading automotive supplier is looking for a strong Human Resources Representative to join their team. The successful candidate will enjoy a fulfilling job offering competitive wages; excellent benefits; and a schedule allowing for every other Friday off.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with employees in all functions throughout the company regarding the company’s employee policy, the collective agreement and labour-law legislation
• Work with employees and management to address concerns and suggestions; provide recommendations for corrective action to ensure employee relations remain positive
• Coordinate the recruiting process, setting up and conducting interviews for candidates and onboarding new employees
• Coordinate employee transfers within the company
• Assists and/or advises management in the formal discipline or termination of employees and conducting exit interviews
• Works directly with union in administration of the collective agreement
• Promote the company culture through continued employee involvement; coordinate training and development and disability management

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3-5 years human resources generalist experience in a unionized environment
• Manufacturing industry experience preferred
• Post secondary degree/diploma in HR
