On behalf of our civil infrastructure client, working on a large multinational project, we are recruiting an experienced Document Controllerto join their team. The Lead Document Controller coordinates project documents and records management services for all aspects of a project from start-up to closeout. This includes providing on-demand request services to the Project Managers, Discipline Managers, functional group leads, and field engineers/staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide an organized classification and document naming structure used to effectively manage, locate and store documents produced within the selected document repository environment
Ensure the security and integrity of documents stored within the project document repository environment
Manage the intake, filing, retention, and issuance of project-related documentation to support Construction activities throughout all phases of the project
Support internal and external resources with managing red lines of project lifecycle documentation and drawings
Maintain vendor, construction and engineering turnover documentation packages in electronic and physical document repository environments
Follow and enforce GDP requirements on all documentation submissions and revisions
Collaborate with the necessary departments to ensure that the document control practices used are in compliance with local site and global corporate policies and procedures
Manage the intake, filing, retention, and updating of drawings including AutoCAD files
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 5+ years of document control experience - document control activities. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in engineering environments with an infrastructure builder
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or certificate with relevant working experience
Experience working and leading a document control team in a busy and fast-paced engineering environment. Proven leadership and supervisory skills are required
Able to work in a fast-paced environment with a large volume of documentation
Microsoft SharePoint and Cloud-based database knowledge - must have in any environment
Proficient with MS Suite(Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint)
Experience with collaboration platforms such as SharePoint, E-Builder and BIM 360 management systems (preference given to candidates with BIM)
Proven organizational, problem-solving, project and time-management skills
Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills (reading and writing skills in the English language)
Previous experience with construction design build documentation in an infrastructure project environment is an asset

Indoor office workspace is on the heavy civil construction site
