We are currently recruiting an experienced Durability Loads Analysis Engineer to join our team supporting our client in the automotive industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide all durability load data to perform Finite Element Durability Analysis (chassis, body, powertrain), design components and develop durability bench test parameters
- Perform the calculation of vehicle suspension component loads, frame/body attachment loads and engine mounts loads using ADAMS, along with using Motion View and nCode tools
- Perform Loads Analysis (which is the calculation of vehicle suspension component loads, frame/body attachment loads and engine mounts loads) using ADAMS. Will also use MotionView and nCode tools
- Build/modify ADAMS (multi-body dynamics) models, which include full vehicle and suspension. Review engineering data (geometry, bushing rates, etc.)
- Review road load data (time history data)
- Run durability models, which include full vehicle, 1/2 suspension and powertrain. Output component loads, attachment loads, powertrain mount loads, etc.
- Post-processing data (statistics-max/min values, equivalent damage, loads comparisons, histograms)
- Technical report writing
- Upload load data into the project database
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree from an accredited University or equivalent
- Must have experience with ADAMS
- Must have experience with Analytical Dynamics (which includes Rigid Body Dynamics and Vibration)
- 3 years’ experience in the automotive industry
- Experience in reviewing Road Load Data to ensure data fidelity
- Have the ability to review and interpret data to address durability concerns
- Experience with Motion-View, UNIX/Linux workstations, chassis/suspension design and functionality
- Experience using nCode/GlyphWorks/Ice-flow data analysis software
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have the ability to work closely with the Data Acquisition and Customer Usage Duty Cycle groups
PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Masters of Science in Engineering
NOTE:
- Must be willing and able to travel to USA, without restrictions, effective on the start date
- Valid driver’s license is required as well as a clean driving record
