Job Description

On behalf of our civil infrastructure client, working on a large multinational project, we are currently recruiting for a QA/QC Material Coordinator to join their team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Material Receiving & Delivery Approvals
  • Prepare and maintain quality records pertaining to their assigned portions of work
  • Fully execute the RMR process, keep the log up to date and submit to the client at required intervals QA/QC
  • Step verification and Tracing Establish control of inventory for materials
  • Ensure Buy America materials are being received & logged and foreign products are added to the waiver schedule
  • Fully execute the MAR process, keep the log up to date and submit to the client at required intervals
  • Assist with offsite verification QAI checks as required
  • Manage the storing of material to ensure material is being stored according to plans by conducting site surveillance and communicating non compliances to persons responsible
  • Work jointly with Quality Personnel and sub-contractors in the Receiving Material process inclusive of field inspections
  • Perform field inspections to verify material is stored per manufacturer recommendations and construction specifications
  • Ensure all permanent material on site has the appropriate tag
  • Be a champion of QMS
  • Be a champion of Safety
  • Submit weekly Hazard ID’s and immediately
  • Report Safety concerns to site superintendent or management
  • Prepare Quality completion packages (ITP) for QA Manager review
  • Attend Quality and Construction related meetings
  • Provide weekly summary to Material Manager (Log status, Deliveries, RMR’s, Challenges, Observations
  • Submit Logs to eBuilder per designated timelines

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • QA/QC Inspection experience
  • Experience working in a technical receiving environment an asset
  • Attention to detail
  • Highly organized
  • Highly motivated
  • Flexible schedule

PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Familiar with Material/equipment logistics, material receiving, storage, preservation and delivery
  • Familiar with use of databases for material accountability, traceability, records keeping
  • Design-Build or P3 Experience on Infrastructure Project
