Job Description

We are currently recruiting an experienced Design Release Engineer to join our team supporting our client in the automotive industry.


  • Developing components/systems from the initial design concept through full-volume production
  • Provide feasibility input for the development of designs from Product Design Office (PDO) concepts, sketches, and clay models. Establish and manage the development timeline for the life of the project
  • Develop functional objectives, build objectives, DVPR, and DFMEA for components
  • Lead design, while leveraging external design sources and/or internal CAD design resource
  • Release of completed component geometry using Teamcenter/NX CAD tools
  • Validate virtual designs using CAE resources and perform physical validation via component, system, and vehicle-level testing. Manage internal documentation for the release of systems
  • Plan and oversee tool construction and production of assemblies
  • On-site support for vehicle pilot builds and production launch at assembly plan
  • Root cause analysis and determination of corrective action for issues with assembly, fit/finish, and functional performance
  • Analyze and remediate warranty, identify cost reduction opportunities on the production of systems, candidate will also be responsible for safety compliance report documents


  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited program
  • Strong interest in the automotive industry
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Computer proficiency (including spreadsheet, word processing, presentation and database applications)


  • Chassis Suspension design/release experience (Min 1 year)
  • Microsoft Word Excel Powerpoint UGNX7.5
  • Previous experience with an Automotive Manufacturer
