Job Description

We are currently recruiting an experienced Propulsion Systems SSTM Support to join our team supporting our client in the automotive industry

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support all integration activities and interface for all issues (cost, timing, program planning, launch support, program resolution, etc.)
  • Tracking change bulletins, financial rollups, quality issues & studies

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, or another related Engineering discipline from an accredited university or equivalent
  • Design, development, and program management experience in broad powertrain functions and/or vehicle engineering in any of the following areas: engine, transmission, driveline, packaging, adaptation, controls, or calibration
  • Demonstrated high leadership, communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Electrification-related experience alongside gas engines
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Need to quickly achieve an understanding of the product development processes, design validation, Key Process Indicators (KPI), and gate processes
  • Demonstrated team-building skills
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, and to work with minimal direction (ability to understand and complete next steps without guidance)
  • Technical aptitude with a willingness to learn. Good management of information flow and communication.
  • Boots on the ground reporting back to the engineers/managers in USA. Maybe later in the future requirements for some weekend work
  • Ability in tracking change bulletins, financial rollups, quality issues & studies
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office/Excel. Knowledge of how to manage data and issues tracking.

PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master of Science degree in Applied Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, or another related Engineering discipline from an accredited university or equivalent
  • Master of Business Administration Degree from an accredited university or equivalent
  • Experience and understanding of the vehicle cost process
  • Experience with the ER&D roll-up process
  • Experience with Change Notice (CN) and Common Change Document (CCD) process
  • Significant knowledge of the automotive industry and competitive benchmarks
  • Multiple program life cycle experience
  • Experience as a Resident/Quality Engineer at one or more manufacturing plants
  • International cultural experience with Latin America, Europe, and/or Asia

NOTE:

  • Hybrid
  • Must be willing and able to travel to the USA, without restrictions, effective on the start date
  • Must be available for off-hour teleconferences and travel to local suppliers and the Vehicle Assembly Plant
