Job Description

Our automotive client is in search of an Industrial Engineer to join their team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement and comply with defined standards
  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes in the plant (per BU) in terms of pre-series and series production in coordination with the IE Team Lead
  • Coordinate the procurement of production equipment
  • Creation of machine and plant layouts as per the CU-4P specifications in coordination with the IE Team Lead
  • Cooperation in CIP projects
  • Co-responsibility for OEE improvements on work-center level towards the achievement of the set OEE targets
  • Coordinate production equipment modifications
  • Coordinate the disposal, relocation, external sale, or scrapping of production equipment

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completed Bachelor's degree in the field of Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Technology or in a comparable field
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in high-volume automotive manufacturing
  • Preference is given to candidates who have plastics experience
  • Demonstrated experience with developing and creating process flow diagrams, equipment investment plans, and equipment layouts
  • Experience with PFMEA’s and equipment specification packages
  • Proven experience in dealing with equipment suppliers on the installation of equipment and obtaining buy off
  • Ability to create and produce reports for senior management and present findings
  • Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Proficient with MS office environment and an MRP program (preference given to candidates with SAP)
