Job Description

Our well-versed, solution-orientated, client is seeking an Advance Process Engineer to join their Powertrain & Automation team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop innovative, cost-effective manufacturing solutions to meet customer needs
  • Work with a team of engineering and manufacturing specialists to develop process and process alternatives, or verify customer provided processes, based on product information, cycle times, and field checks (if required)
  • Break down proposal content and finalize system layouts, and assist in preparing project feasibility capital and operating costs
  • Create and review project proposals, customer presentations and technical reports, and participate in customer tech reviews
  • Line up internal groups both during the proposal/quoting process, as well as after awarding of the project, and follow-up with engineering for lessons learned
  • Benchmark, review and recommend new technologies and industry best practices to incorporate into our solutions offered to customers
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Completed university program in Engineering
  • At least 5 years of direct experience designing or processing automation systems and related tooling
  • Experience with 3D design software
  • Ability and willingness to travel to company and customer facilities globally
  • Proven ability to work well within a team-based environment, prioritizing plans of action to accomplish objectives in a high-pressure environment
PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience with AutoCad Inventor
  • Familiarity with EV Drives and Battery Tray processes
