Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Battery Electric Vehicle Calibration Engineer to join our team supporting our client in the Automotive Industry.

  • Developing calibrations that achieve world-class drivability and optimized energy efficiency
  • Develop calibration best practices for future BEV applications and analyze, plan, and solve complex system problems as they relate to calibration development.
  • Manipulate and utilize large and complex sets of data and actively participate in the development of standard hardware and calibration development processes and procedures
  • Participate in meetings with management, product design, and systems teams and present summaries and detailed reports on specific assignments
  • Lead the integration of the System HIL and leverage virtual resources for early calibration development
  • Perform calibration work, such as post-processing data, generating calibration and technical reports according to the schedule of activities and testing of the vehicle application project
  • Certify the quality of the measured data for the execution of the Basic Calibration activities
  • Be responsible for reporting status of development activities to the manager
  • Prepare and provide Technical reports of the activities carried out following the project's Quality Gates schedule or whenever requested by the manager
  • Lead cross-functional system resolution and CoE administration
  • Technical lead for virtual BEV project deliverables
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree
  • Minimum of 3-5 Years calibration experience
  • Basic understanding of Power Electronics, Hybrid Vehicle Architecture and Power flow
  • Matlab/Simulink application and development experience
  • Prior collegiate project work/intern experience in the area of powertrain development, Propulsion system controls and/or calibration.
  • English: Advanced
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel)
  • Experience with Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets)
  • Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills
  • Good teamwork skills and ability to work independently
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good interpersonal relationship

  • Conflict and crisis management


  • Master of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
  • Knowledge of statistics and statistical methods
  • Knowledge of software and equipment for engine calibration, MATLAB, measurement and analysis (Inca-Etas / Horiba)
  • Knowledge of the dyno environment and tools related to it, such as: Puma, Cameo, Indicom, Concerto
  • Experience with Matlab scripting and other useful data processing languages/tool sets ex: Python, JavaScript/NodeJS, etc…
  • Experience with Formula SAE

Notes: Remote with some travel to US for meetings
