Job Description

On behalf of our global automations solutions, client we are currently recruiting for a Buyer – Engineered Systems to join their team.


  • Participate in quoting process to solicit potential suppliers and budgetary pricing in the market
  • Ensure supplier capacities and capabilities are aligned with client and their customer requirements, mitigating organizational risk
  • Prepare market testing and analysis to develop supply chain intelligence to reduce purchasing costs
  • Prepare requests for quotes; engage with SME to determine technical requirements
  • Prepare technical and commercial analysis of offers; identify best sourcing opportunities
  • Communicate with suppliers and internally with the project team throughout the process of selection of potential suppliers
  • Identify best sourcing opportunities and negotiate final contracts with supplier on technical and commercial terms
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders adhering to defined purchasing procedures, policies and guiding principles
  • Develop strategic supplier relationships; monitor supplier performance and feedback
  • Has the authority and obligation to stop production in case unsafe working conditions are observed
  • Engineering Degree with experience in manufacturing, engineering, or supply chain management
  • Pricing, market and competitive statistical analysis, VA/VE
  • Working knowledge of automotive body-in white, powertrain/propulsion and/or aerospace automation and tooling sectors
  • Experience with interfacing with customers and suppliers at various levels
  • Working knowledge of automotive/aerospace OEM and industry standards
  • Negotiation skills, market testing and analysis, procurement practices and methodologies
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and complete assignments in a high - pressure environment using effective organization, time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication abilities, to effectively communicate with all external suppliers and internal personnel
  • Proven ability to work well with others in a team – based work environment
