Job Description

On behalf of our metal stamping client, we are currently recruiting for an experienced Robotics Supervisor / Lead to join their team.


  • Develop, plan and implement electrical and control system design solutions based on engineering principles and involvement in presentation of the solution to customer
  • Motivate and provide guidance to the robotics/electrical/automation/improvement team by creating an environment of trust and open communication
  • Lead Robotics/Electrical department
  • Schedule & Supervise Electrical/Robotics team (7 total employees) on a weekly basis
  • Provide leadership for technical support and on-site troubleshooting and repair for metal press stamping production
  • Provide leadership in knowledge transfer and implementation of approved standards and practices for PLCs and Fanuc robots
  • Technician duty during the day, and report and mentoring new hire technicians
  • Other duty as follows ( day shift - technician duty, up to extra 2 hours will be reporting and training)
  • Program robot and teach points for various tasks
  • Troubleshoot service and repair robotic systems, using knowledge of microprocessors, programmable controllers, mechanics, sensor or feedback systems, hydraulics, or pneumatics
  • Install and test performance of robotic systems and other mechanical automation equipment
  • Maintain inventories of production supplies such as sensors and cables
  • Prepare standards and schedules and supervise mechanical maintenance programs for metal stamping presses and Robots. Perform preventive or corrective maintenance on robotic systems or components
  • Program and Troubleshoot PLC programs which automates Welding and Press stamping Lines Programmer/Troubleshooting in Fanuc Robots, RS Logix 5000, Slick Programs,
  • Allen-Bradley Panel View 1250. PLC programming/troubleshooting
  • Minimum 5 years of Automation/Robotics metal stamping working experience with Fanuc, RS Logix 5000 experience, Mechanically inclined and good electrical knowledge
  • At least 2 years Robotics / Automation, college education diploma - educational requirement
  • Experienced with PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen Bradley 5000)
  • Experienced Fanuc robots
  • Experienced with Design and building HMI applications using FactoryTalk
  • Experienced with building safety systems for robots and stamping presses
  • All other technical troubleshooting in day time as a senior robotics technicians/electricians and support midnight shift (6 am-7:00 am) and afternoon shift (3:00 pm - 4:00 pm)
  • Work up to 60 hours a week, six (6) days a week
