Job Description

On behalf of our pharmaceutical manufacturing client we are currently recruiting for a Master Data Analyst. This position will play a key role in setting up and maintenance of master data in ERP system(s) and the processes that support data quality, data integrity and developing the documentation to support it. The individual will be responsible to ensure data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and conformity according to business requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Analyze and resolve all EDI issues in processes and maintain accuracy in all inbound and outbound documents and perform troubleshoot on processes and analyze all errors

Data Governance:

  • Defines, designs, and builds data, data structures and processes to meet business needs and promotes data governance by ensuring quality and accuracy
  • Develop, define and document Master Data business processes and SOP’s
  • Conducts data cleansing (unused data, or duplicate data)

Data Management:

  • Responsible for data collections, entry, and loading master data into ERP(s)
  • Identifies areas for data quality improvements and helps to resolve data quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies
  • Collaborates with subject matter experts (SME) and department leads to define and implement data strategies, policies, controls, and programs to ensure the organizations data is accurate, complete, secure, and reliable
  • Manage all request for changes and creations to Master Data records to ensure proper approvals were provided following Business Validation processes
  • Assists in the application and implementation of procedures for data standards and guidelines on data ownership, coding structures, and data replication to ensure access to and integrity of data sets
  • Responsible for development of continuous process improvement and promoting the use of best practices
  • Identify Master data issues, make recommendations and implement solutions to optimize processes and procedures
  • Work closely with 3PL partners to communicate new items created as per defined templates
  • Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective action

EDI:

  • Responsible for troubleshooting, researching and analyzing error handling and exception reporting and reprocessing EDI activities as needed
  • Participate in EDI related projects, implement and monitor EDI systems, including data mapping, translation and interface
  • Develop and maintain EDI documentation
  • Ensure tasks are planned and organized and carried out methodically to meet deadlines

Environment:

  • Ensure full adherence to the internal control framework within the department
  • Maintain, follow and enhance as necessary, any appropriate SOPs for IT department
  • Support and enforce any IT related Policies
  • Working in compliance with the company’s Health & Safety Policies/SOPs including but not limited to the Safety Responsibilities Procedure
  • Comply with all associated GMP Practices
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree in information science, data management, computer science or related field preferred
  • Experience in ERP or MRP systems in a manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years’ experience in master data
  • Ability to manage priorities in continually changing environment, and to solve problems with high attention to detail
  • Great communication skills to facilitate projects with the ERP vendor, team members, external data providers, and management
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel etc.)
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Domain knowledge in CPG industry
