Job Description

On behalf of our agriculture infrastructure client, we are currently recruiting for an experienced Sales Representative to join their team. This position is responsible for revenue generation within a wide geographic area, long term relationship building for high post-sales satisfaction and repeat business, setting account and territory plans on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, and may advance to lead dedicated account teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops new and maintains existing accounts
  • Contacts prospects and explains features and merits of products or services offered, utilizing persuasive sales techniques to maximize highest margins possible
  • Contacts existing customers and keeps records and continuously monitors these contacts and relationships to develop a favorable position for the company
  • Develops territory plans to achieve revenue targets given on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis
  • Solicits pre-bid and post-bid competitive feedback. Leverages solicited information to strategize and position our client to secure orders
  • Analyzes and interprets records of present and past sales, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenue, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred for management
  • Communicate with Department heads and Sales Support to ensure timely delivery of products and services
  • Demonstrates products or services to clients and prospects, answers questions and provides assistance in the best application of products or services
  • Acts as liaison between sales and other departments internally
  • Experienced in customer service with the ability and knowledge to communicate internally and externally
  • Investigates product/service warranty claims with the ability to determine if products have material defects or fabrication errors or misuse by the customer. Negotiate and resolve issues to ensure compliance within organization policies
  • Coordinate company technical engineering support and services to ascertain customers' needs
  • Required to attend and evaluate regional/territory and national trade shows
  • Assists with setting pricing for the product in the territory. Monitors competitive pricing in the territory
  • May assist with coaching and mentoring Entry Level and Intermediate Sales Representatives

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field
  • 5 or more years experience in Sales
  • 3 or more years experience in Account Management
  • Good verbal and written communication abilities
  • Proven persuasive sales techniques
  • Ability to build, grown and sustain long term relationships
  • Customer service skills and experience
  • Ability to analyze and coordinate efficiently
  • Travel to clients and prospects consisting of 75% or more of working hours
