Job Description

On behalf of our agriculture infrastructure client, we are currently recruiting for an experienced Field Construction Manager to join their team. This position is responsible to manage the project site, coordinate equipment, and provide effective leadership and management to the internal Field Construction and Project Management team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for providing effective communication internally and externally regarding project status
  • Schedule and coordinate activities relating to projects and adhere to keep project within budget
  • Manage the overall site safety program as required, providing safety orientation to new employees and enforcing worker’s compliance with company standards and all applicable safety codes and regulations
  • Identify and resolve field issues during testing
  • Interface positively with customers to explain the pull test process and any assist with providing information regarding questions they may have
  • Coordinate timely arrival of equipment to project sites in conjunction with Project Managers
  • Work with field crews to diagnose equipment issues and coordinate repairs
  • Oversee the Preventative Maintenance schedule for all machines and ensure compliance
  • Review and approve all invoices related to equipment maintenance
  • Assist other Company locations in troubleshooting equipment issues and escalate resolution when necessary
  • Complete site visits to tackle any issues crew and customers are having and also oversee to make sure Construction managers are able to do the same
  • Effectively communicate and resolve ad hoc field issues regarding construction crews, customers, and/or Construction Managers
  • Work with field crews to develop project standards and norms
  • Perform site audits of crews to ensure safety and proper installation practices
  • Manage all warranty and repair work for completed projects

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture or related field
  • 5 or more years project management experience
  • Good verbal and written communication abilities
  • Good organizational, coordination and problem solving skills
  • Ability to foster teamwork and relationships
  • Result oriented and competent
  • Candidates will be required to travel up to 50% throughout Canada and USA
