Job Description

On behalf of our client, a privately owned/operated business, we are currently recruiting for a Director of Operations to join their team. This position is part of their senior management team and will be assisting with overall management and oversight of the business. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for business development and customer retention.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversight and management of individual business units
  • Identify new prospective clients and opportunities to maximize business opportunities
  • Conduct market research and gather information to ensure our business remains competitive and agile
  • Establish and build proactive relationships with other managers and staff across our company to find synergies and opportunities in all markets
  • Interacts with operational team members and other company staff to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Develop marketing materials and social media strategies to promote and highlight our capabilities
  • This position will work with all levels of Management, Employees and the Union at all Operations

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 8 – 10 years of management experience in a related industry with experience in development with a post-secondary education
  • Experience with understanding and working with financial statements, and reports
  • Proven experience in project management
  • Solid communication and relationship building skills
  • Excellent computer skills
