Job Description

On behalf of our Tier 1 injection molding client we are currently recruiting for a Senior Industrial Engineer to join their team. This position reports directly to the Plant Manager and Corporate Industrial Engineering department oversea’s.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinate creation of process flow diagrams, equipment investment plans, equipment layouts and resource consumption plans.
  • Coordinate development and validation of manufacturing processes and coordinate creation of PFMEAs
  • Coordinate preparation of equipment specification packages (ESP)
  • Keep plant specification and standards (part of the ESP) up to date, as well as plant E-Card and plant utility map
  • Create production equipment investment requests (IA – Investment request) and order requests (SRM-orders), coordinate technical analysis of quotations and selection of suppliers, coordinate manufacturing and installation of production equipment with suppliers and evaluate them on basis of their performance. Activities apply to all equipment
  • Coordinate production equipment acceptances with suppliers from design phase (DAT), to preliminary acceptance (PAT), to readiness to operate acceptance (RTO), to final acceptance (FAT), up until final availability verification (EAV). It includes coordination of machine capability studies, production trials and tracking of external (supplier) and internal tasks
  • Coordinate training of equipment operators and maintenance personal
  • Coordinate process final parametrization (process fine-tuning), creation/update of process parameter sheets, creation/update of operation instructions and setup instructions
  • Coordinate internal acceptance of manufacturing processes
  • Coordinate handover of production equipment and process from IE to Production and Maintenance

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree (Mechanical/Industrial/Production Technology)
  • A minimum of 5 years professional work experience in a high volume manufacturing environment. Preference given to candidates who have plastics experience
  • Demonstrated experience with developing and creating process flow diagrams, equipment investment plans, and equipment layouts
  • Experience with PFMEA’s and equipment specification packages
  • Proven experience in dealing with equipment suppliers on the installation of equipment and obtaining buy off
  • Ability to create and produce reports for senior management and present findings
  • Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross functional teams
  • Proficient with MS office environment and an MRP program (preference given to candidates with SAP)
