Job Description

On behalf of our manufacturing and distributing client we are currently recruiting for an experienced and driven Technical Sales Representative reporting to the General Manager. If you have demonstrated experience with bringing on new accounts, and are ready for career advancement this is the position for you!

  • Sourcing and identifying key new clients in the Ontario, Michigan, and Ohio who might benefit from company products and services
  • Developing long-term relationships with clients
  • Creating and performing technical presentations and demonstrating how a product meets client needs
  • Persuading clients on the product that it will satisfy their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery
  • Negotiating tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs
  • Calculating client quotations and administering client accounts
  • Providing pre-sales demonstrations and product education, and after-sales support services
  • Analyzing costs and sales
  • Preparing various reports (weekly and monthly) for senior management and clients
  • Meeting regular sales targets
  • Supporting marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events
  • Developing marketing, sales, operational and other documentation to support the development of the North American market

  • 3 - 5 years of demonstrated Outside Sales experience in technical background (plastic injection, mold making, hydraulic or Tier 1 automotive supplier)
  • Strong desire to achieve results and meet company targets
  • Excellent communication and negotiating skills
  • Proven experience in building long term relationships with customers
  • Able to work autonomously with no supervisor and report to Corporate office in France
  • Candidates will be required to have their own vehicle, a valid driver's license with a clean abstract and proof of insurance
  • Able to travel without restrictions (up to 50% of the time - an international trip to the corporate headquarters)
  • Preference given to candidates who speak French or German
