Job Description

On behalf of our World Class Manufacturing client, we are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Engineer.


  • Perform root cause analysis of quality issues, often using advanced problem-solving tools (like Kepner Tregoe, Shainin Red X, Design of Experiments).
  • Recommend and implement simple cost-effective permanent corrective actions
  • Analyze quality data from internal and external indicators to ensure correlation
  • Manage engineering changes, working with cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution
  • Conduct product evaluation requests to ensure the robustness of product or process change before full implementation
  • Work with Engineering and Suppliers to resolve issues that are not plant controllable
  • Recommend and validate rework procedures
  • Develop inspection procedures and best methods for performing inspections
  • Develop projects to support World Class Manufacturing
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related Technical Engineering degree
  • Minimum 5 years of practical experience in Automotive Product Development and/or Quality Engineering to support the Aftermarket Accessory Product Development and Quality Assembly sold at dealers and assembled at Custom Shops
  • Understanding of DFMEA, DVP, PFMEA, Control Plan, PSO and PPAP processes for new or high-risk commodities
  • Must have an understanding of Automotive specifications and standards, including Regulatory and Safety requirements to support system development and vehicle level testing
  • Warranty data analysis (WDSS, WIS, QNA, CLIMS, PRAS systems) to identify and document issues
  • Problem-solving, root cause analysis & validation skills
  • Proactive Reliability Engineering highly preferred
  • MS Office proficiency, Google G-Suite tools, including presentation skills
  • Cross function role requires outstanding leadership to lead new program launches for Production Evaluation Run (PER) readiness assessment, Production Start Approval (PSA), and manage ship hold and yard hold
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent critical thinking and good communication / interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, able to work with minimal supervision
  • Will be required to drive company vehicles - valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Will be required to travel 20-40% - domestic & international
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
